Mission Statement

not a type Magazine believes that journalism is something that is not to be divided but hyphenated to create a multi-faceted view.  We believe that political science and creative writing go hand-in-hand with the emotions that political and social issues provoke and require their own space. We have an all-women staff contributor, to provide women with a journalistic platform in a male-dominated field. At not a type, we believe in transparency and treat our valued audience with the respect they deserve. We’re always interested to receive feedback and constructive criticism about our pieces, as that helps us develop better material in the future.
