Meet Our Staff!: Welcome

Micaela Frances

Micaela Frances is a high-school senior planning to pursue a career in journalism. She hopes to be able to use her writing to advocate for social justice and founded this magazine on the basis of combining politics with the emotional effects they often cause. She will be the first person in her family to attend college and loves art, creative writing, and eating good food.

Gratia Serpento

 

Gratia Serpento lives for the news. When she was twelve, she wanted nothing other than a TIME magazine, so she could read about the world around her. Now she writes about it. She lives in Oregon with her family.

Lily Wolf

Lily Lavender Wolf is a poet hailing from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She enjoys long walks exploring nature, the companionship of her cat, and writing with multi-colored ink. Poetry is her passion, her pastime, her therapy. Her creative work can be found published in myriad litmags: Wingless Dreamer, MacQueen’s Quarterly, From Whispers to Roars, Metonym Journal, and the Write Launch to name a few. Feel free to check out her poetry-only Instagram account, @poet.faerie.magic, for around 600 different pieces from over the years.

Umamma Imran

Ummama Imran is a student passionate about poetry & politics. She loves to analyze society and its close relationship with the people in it - how they've recorded their experiences in their writing. She hopes that through journalism and discourse that the world can become a more honest, inclusive place.

Megan Walter

Megan Walter is an aspiring young writer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Megan’s currently a sophomore in high school, and she writes for both her school newspaper and literary magazine. When she’s not thinking about all things literary, Megan enjoys advocating in Amnesty International Club, connecting with her Jewish community, and competing in long-distance running. She hopes to inspire other young artists to find their voices through writing, too!

Lindsey Wentzel

Lindsey Wentzel was born in Austin, TX, and attended UNT for
college. She dropped out in the middle and became a vagabond
traveling across the country for several years. While she had always
struggled with bipolar depression, anxiety, and ADD, those were some of the happiest times of her life. Unfortunately, she ended the travels with drug addiction. Today, Lindsey is a single mother of two beautiful children and manages to be a productive member of society...sometimes.
